	Tours and Workshops We offer enjoyable workshops and tours for our guest. Workshops and tours are available on an individual or group basis. Fall 2009 Open Classes are: October 10 - Vest Making Workshop, October 24 - Jacket Making , November 7 - Scarf Making , and November 21 - Rug Making. Call 859 383-4454 with questions and to register. For private training, the cost is $40.00 an hour for instructions plus material fees. For groups, workshop size is determined by the project. Group minimum fee is $50.00. Understand the difference in the fiber qualities of various breeds. Feel the different type of fibers. See a processing mill that makes fibers into finished products. Make your own trivet to take home. School groups are welcome. Introduction to Fiber Processing - 3 hours $15.00 Visit a wool-processing mill. Learn about how yarn and felt are made. Start with raw fibers and see how they are made into usable items. Experience spinning and felt making. Take home your own "make it take it" piece of fiber art. Crafting with wool - 3 hours $20.00 In this class you will make an ornament with wool fibers. You will see how the fleece is used in various ways to make a finished product. Participants will make wet and dry felt. Kitchen Art Workshop - 5 hours $30.00 Make your custom kitchen potholders, hot-pads and wall hanging. Embellish soft wool to match your décor and have a unique naturally fire-retardant product to use in your kitchen or give as a gift. Lunch provided Wool Sculpting Workshop - 2.5 hours $25.00 Learn to make three dimensional figures show as teddy bears and doll faces. Felted Scarf Making Workshop - 2 hours $25.00 Start with Tangle Art fabric then, embellish it to your own taste. You will have a choice of styles and color of the scarf. Braided Rug Workshop - 6 hours $65.00 Guest Instructor Ann Brown will come teach you how to make a braided rug using wool roving. Lunch provided Flock Lock Rug Workshop - 4 hours $75.00 Start with a rug backing, then arrange wool fibers in your own colors and design. Run the rug through our Tangle Art® Felt Making Machine and you have your own original creation. Hat Making Workshop - 3 hours $40.00 Lightly felted batting is formed into a hat that can be shaped and styled to size and original design.
